Peiran Lin | Westlake University
Building AI methods for life science, virtual cells, and spatial omics.
I am a PhD student in Biology at Westlake University. My research sits at the intersection of computational biology, virtual-cell modeling, gene regulatory networks, and spatial multi-omics, with the goal of building interpretable AI systems for biological discovery.
Profile
About
I am currently studying Biology at Westlake University and working across computational and experimental life-science settings. My training bridges algorithmic thinking and biological questions, especially where large-scale omics data can inform cell-state understanding.
Before starting my PhD, I completed dual undergraduate training at Shandong University in Life Sciences and Computer Science and Technology. I am especially motivated by problems where AI can help build mechanistic and testable models for living systems.
Shandong University
Life Sciences + Computer Science and Technology, building a cross-disciplinary foundation in biology and computation.
Westlake University
PhD student in Biology, focusing on AI for life science, virtual cells, spatial multi-omics, and GRN-related questions.
Research
Current Interests
I am interested in turning complex biological measurements into interpretable models that support discovery, perturbation analysis, and hypothesis generation.
